Ukraine's Ministry of Energy announced that Russia carried out another "barbaric attack" on Ukraine's energy infrastructure at night. The statement said, "As a result of the attacks, the last line feeding the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant was damaged. Currently, the plant is running with diesel generators."

ATTACK THREATS FORCED A DECREASE IN ENERGY CAPACITIES

The statement shared that "the Russians brought the world to the brink of a nuclear disaster," and noted that these attacks were carried out the day after talks with the United Nations on the demilitarization of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant.

In the statement, it was stated that as of 06.30 on March 9, attacks on the energy facilities of Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, Odessa, Dnipropetrovsk and Zhitomir regions were recorded.

On the other hand, Ukraine's State Nuclear Energy Company Energoatom announced that the capacity of Pivdennoukrainsk, Khmelnitski and Rivne nuclear power plants, which have a total capacity of 9 thousand megawatts, was reduced to 4,700 megawatts due to the threat of missile attacks.
