Diving 52.1 meters in one breath, broke the world record

Czech free diver David Vencl broke the world record by diving into the frozen Lake Sils in Switzerland to a depth of 52.1 meters in one breath without a wetsuit.

1 MINUTE 54 SECONDS RECORD

Venci, whose dive lasted 1 minute and 54 seconds, was accompanied by 4 people up to the last 15 meters as part of a security measure, while no one was with him in the last 15 meters.

Vencl, who also held the previous record with 50 meters, was taken to the hospital for control due to blood coming from his mouth after diving.

David Vencl said in a statement: “I felt good, everything went according to plan. I'm excited for the record. It was slower than the previous ones, the entire dive took 1 minute 54 seconds. I don't know why yet," he said.

It was stated that there is 20 centimeters of snow on the surface of Sils Lake, which is at an altitude of 1,800 meters above sea level and has a depth of 71 meters, and a 35-meter-thick ice layer under it.

It was reported that the water temperature on the surface of the lake is 1 degree, and the water temperature at 50 meters depth is 4 degrees.
