Competing in the European Karate Championship held in Spain, the Men's Kata National Team won the gold medal.

In the organization held in Guadalajara, the national team consisting of Ali Sofuoglu, Emre Vefa Goktas and Enes Ozdemir became the champion by beating the host Spain in the final.

Turkish Youth and Sports Minister Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoglu, in his congratulatory message published on his social media account, said, "We are the European champions for the 3rd time in a row. I heartily congratulate our Men's Kata National Team, consisting of Ali Sofuoglu, Enes Ozdemir and Emre Vefa Goktas, who won the gold medal in the European Karate Championship."
