Sultans of the Net made history defeating China 3-1 in a breathtaking match in the final of the FIVB Nations League. The National Women's Volleyball Team became the champion.

Starting the match with a 3-0 series with the effective serves of Ebrar Karakurt, the national team continued its effective play at the beginning of the set and maintained a 3-point (8-11) lead. After a timeout by Chinese head coach Cai Bin, the Asian team increased its offensive efficiency and closed the gap to lead by one point (13-12). While both countries exchanged points until the middle of the set, the national team took the lead 19-16 with a 4-point series caught on Derya Cebecioğlu's service run and completed the first set 25-22 ahead, which was competitive until the last moment.

SECOND SET FOR CHINA

The national team started the second set effectively and had a four-point (5-9) lead early in the set. China scored back-to-back points from its spikers and middles and reduced the gap to one point (9-10). After a timeout by A National Women's Volleyball Team Head Coach Daniele Santarelli, the national team recovered and increased the gap to four points (10-14) on Vargas' service run. The Asian team, which caught a 5-point series from the mistakes made by the national team on offense, took the lead 16-15. China did not allow the gap to close and finished the second set 25-22 ahead.

While both countries started the third set by exchanging points, the national team increased the gap to 4 points (5-9) with Ebrar Karakurt's back-to-back points. Although the Asian team tried to close the gap with their medium offense, the national team increased the difference to 7 points (9-16) in the middle of the set with the points of Vargas and Eda Erdem Dundar. Continuing their effective play at the end of the set, the national team completed the third set 25-19 ahead.

CHAMPION FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HISTORY

China started the fourth set well and led by 3 points (6-3) early in the set. The national team closed the gap with Vargas and tied the score at 6-6. The national team increased the difference to 5 points (7-12) in the middle of the set with Zehra Günes's blocks and Vargas and Ebrar Karakurt's offensive points. Continuing to play effectively until the end of the set, the national team won the fourth set 25-16 and the match 3-1, becoming the champion for the first time in the history of the organization.

BRONZE MEDAL FOR POLAND

Poland and the USA met in the bronze medal match in the League of Nations. Poland defeated its opponent 3-2 with sets of 25-15, 16-25, 16-25, 25-19, 18-25 and 17-15 and won the bronze medal. Poland succeeded in winning a medal for the first time in the history of the organization.

THE MOST VALUABLE VARGAS

Melisa Vargas was chosen as the "Most Valuable Player of the League of Nations" with the voting. Zehra Güneş, the "best middle player", Gizem Orge, the "best libero", and Melisa Vargas, the "best setter cross", took part in the league's dream team.
