‘Sultans of Net’ defeated Sweden in EuroVolley 2023 with 3-0

Competing in the CEV European Volleyball Championship, the Turkish National Women's Volleyball Team defeated Sweden 3-0 in its first match.

In the first match of the CEV Women's European Volleyball Championship (EuroVolley 2023) hosted by Belgium, Germany, Italy, and Estonia, Türkiye defeated Sweden3-0 with 25-22, 25-18, 25-13 sets.

After starting the European Championships with a win, the Turkish team will face Azerbaijan in their second match in the group on Sunday at 21.00. The match will be broadcast live on TRT Spor Yıldız.

RECORD FROM VARGAS

Melissa Vargas, the Cuban-Turkish star of the Turkish National Women's Volleyball Team and Turkish team Fenerbahce, set a new record by serving at 112 kilometers per hour.

The previous service record, set by Melissa Vargas at 112 kilometers per hour, was held by Tijana Boskovic at 111.4 kilometers per hour.

In 2015, Boskovic transferred from Serbia's ZOK Partizan Vizura to the Turkish team Eczacibasi, where she continues her career.
