The Turkish National Women's Volleyball team aka “Sultans of the Net” which has played in the final of the CEV European Volleyball Championship twice before and came second, became the European champion by defeating its rival Serbia in the final match played yesterday in Brussels, the capital of Belgium.

In the first set, the Turkish team lost 27-25 but then did not give up and won 25-21 in the second set with the contributions of scorer volleyball player Melissa Vargas. Serbia's leading scorer Tijana Boskovic made a great contribution to her team. While the Turkish team was ahead in the third set, unfortunately, they lost 25-22. In the fourth set, the “Sultans of the Net” won the match 3-2 with a score of 15-12 and became the European champion.
