National athlete Cansu Bektas became the third in the world by winning 3 bronze medals in women's 45 kilograms on the first day of the World Weightlifting Championships in Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh.

In the weightlifting championship held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, national athlete Cansu Bektas won 3 bronze medals in the women's 45 kilogramsweightlifting championship with 75 kilograms in snatch, 87 kilograms in shrug, and 162 kilograms in total.
The organization, in which 12 athletes, including 7 women, represented Türkiye in the championship, will end on September 16.
