Galatasaray beats Manchester United 3-2 in UEFA Champions League

Galatasaray, one of Türkiye's leading football teams, defeated Manchester United 3-2 in Group A of the UEFA Champions League at Old Trafford in a match in which they were down twice. The winning goal for the Turkish team came from Mauro Icardi in the 81st minute. With this win, Galatasaray climbed to second place in the group with 4 points.

Galatasaray, one of the leading football teams of Türkiye, defeated Manchester United, one of the giant teams of England, with a score of 3-2 in UEFA Champions League Group A.

In the match, Manchester United took the lead with Hojlund's goal in the 17th minute. Galatasaray responded to this goal with Zaha in the 23rd minute. The first half ended 1-1.

Manchester United took a 2-1 lead in the 67th minute with Hojlund's second goal. Galatasaray responded to this goal with Kerem Akturkoglu in the 71st minute.

In the 77th minute, Casemiro, one of Manchester United's star players, was shown a red card after a foul on Mertens, who came on in the second half, inside the penalty area. Icardi missed a penalty.

Three minutes after Mauro Icardi missed the penalty, he scored in the 81st minute to give Galatasaray a 3-2 win and 3 points.

According to the BBC, the player of the match was Wilfried Zaha with 7.94 points out of 10.

In the other match of the group, Bayern Munich defeated Copenhagen 2-1 away from home.

With these results, Bayern Munich maintained its leadership with 6 points, while Galatasaray moved up to second place with 4 points. Copenhagen remained with 1 point, while Manchester United left without a point for the second match in a row.

The third match in Group A of the Champions League will be played on October 24. Galatasaray will host Bayern Munich in Türkiye’s Istanbul. Manchester United will face Copenhagen away from home.
