Turkish triathlete Selinay Tugce Kir wins gold medal at the European Triathlon Cup
Turkish National triathlete Selinay Tugce Kir became the champion in the youth category in the European Triathlon Cup races held in Türkiye’s Mersin.
Yenisehir Triathlon, the second race of the European Triathlon Cup, continues with the participation of 280 athletes from 25 countries.
The track, where the athletes competing in the young women's category swam in the sea and switched to the running area after cycling, was completed.
National triathlete Selinay Tugce Kir took the championship rope as the first athlete to successfully finish the competition.
In the organisation where Selinay won the gold medal with a time of 1 hour 5 minutes 16 seconds, Dutch Merel Veltman came second with a time of 1 hour 5 minutes 43 seconds and Latvian Beatu Bula came third with a time of 1 hour 6 minutes 5 seconds.
The races in the organization, which is supported by the Turkish Triathlon Federation (TTF), continue on Adnan Menderes Boulevard and the coastal band.
At the end of the day, the ranking athletes will be awarded at a ceremony.
