Galatasaray mounts a comeback, securing a 3-3 draw against Manchester United in the fifth week of the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday at the Ali Sami Yen Sports Complex in Turkiye’s Istanbul.
Manchester United took an early lead with Alejandro Garnacho's close-range finish in the 11th minute, followed by Bruno Fernandes doubling the score with a stylish long-range goal seven minutes later.
Galatasaray narrowed the gap as Hakim Ziyech scored from a free kick in the 29th minute. Despite Mauro Icardi finding the net in the 43rd minute, it was disallowed. Manchester United extended their lead to 3-1 with Scott Mctominay's close-range finish in the 55th minute.
However, Galatasaray made a comeback with Ziyech's second mesmerizing free-kick goal in the 63rd minute, and Kerem Akturkoglu's ferocious right-footed strike in the 71st minute. With five points, Galatasaray leads Group A, while Manchester United sits at the bottom with four points.
