The official opening ceremony of Teknofest Aerospace and Technology Festival (TEKNOFEST) Izmir, the aviation, space and technology festival organised by the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3) and the TurkishMinistry of Industry and Technology, was held. It started with the visual animation show on the main stage and the performance of the TEKNOFEST Anthem. Festival at Izmir Cigli Airport will meet with technology enthusiasts until October 1, 2023.
Founding chairman of the T3 Foundation Selcuk Bayraktar expressed his happiness to meet with young people at TEKNOFEST, "the world's largest technology and innovation festival", organised by the T3 Foundation and the Ministry of Industry and Technology at Cigli Airport in Izmir.
"Türkiye is researching, developing, producing and developing in every field. Our young people are creating new fields by blending industry with high technology and artificial intelligence. We are the ones who will give spirit to these new fields and the changing world," Bayraktar said while stating that they set an example to the world with national technology.
Elon Musk, who met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoganat the Turkish House (Türkevi) in New Yok, said that he followed Türkiye's Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) and Unmanned Combat Air Vehicles (UCAV) and found them successful. It was stated that Elon Musk, who was invited to TEKNOFEST by the President, is likely to come to TEKNOFEST.
Selcuk Bayraktar was asked about Elon Musk's invitation to TEKNOFEST.
"TEKNOFEST is a unique event in the world. It is a completely social and actually a silent revolution that is not done for commercial purposes. In this sense, we also expect him. It will be a first for him to experience this spirit here," Bayraktar said.
Visitors who want to share the excitement of the festival can make their registrations via TEKNOFEST website and mobile application.
For TEKNOFEST, visitors are advised to preferrail, sea, and municipal buses instead of private cars.
It was stated that local subway transportation which is named ESHOT will organize ring services to the festival area from IZBAN Ulukent and Egekent stations and Bostanlı Pier, and those who wish can reach the festival area with their bicycles.
The Istanbul stage of the festival, which was decided to be held in three major cities on the 100th anniversary of the Republic, was held on April 27 - May 1 and the Ankara stage was held on August 30- September 3.
The festival in Istanbul went down in history as the "world's largest organization" with more than 2.5 million visitors. It was reported that 943 thousand of people visited the festival organized at Ankara Etimesgut Airport.
