Selcuk Bayraktar, Chairman of the Board of Turkiye Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation), stressed the significance of diversifying strategic technology cooperation between Türkiye and Azerbaijan for national survival. Bayraktar made these remarks during his participation in the opening meeting of the "74th International Astronautical Congress (IAC)" held in Baku, Azerbaijan's capital.
Making a press statement after the 74th International Astronautics Congress (IAC) meeting held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, Bayraktar expressed his joy as a son of the Turkish nation that Karabakh has recently regained its freedom. Bayraktar, who came to Azerbaijan after the Teknofest held in Izmir, proudly stated that in the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye, about 500 TEKNOFEST from Türkiye participated in the event.
Bayraktar, who sees Azerbaijan as his second homeland, emphasized the need for concrete examples to reinforce the strong bond between the two nations. He underscored that technology cooperation, especially in the space and unmanned aerial vehicle sectors, plays a crucial role in preserving sovereignty and independence in the modern era.
"Our hearts are beating as one heart, but it is necessary to reinforce this with concrete examples. Technology is a very important area of cooperation as it directly concerns the sovereignty and independence of nations due to its effects in the times we live in," Bayraktar emphasized.
"We established our company here, which is also working on technology development. Again, our defense industry institutions have many initiatives. I think that the diversification of strategic technology areas is particularly important for the survival of our nation," he added.
Bayraktar concluded by expressing his hope that future editions of the International Astronautical Congress would be organized in Türkiye, further solidifying the partnership between the two nations.
