Elon Musk, the owner of social media platform X, announced that posts on X that are found to be misinformed will be blocked from generating revenue.

In a statement on X, Musk highlighted an innovation to the platform's "community notes" feature, which is used to correct misinformation or explain the context of a post.

"A post corrected by community notes will not be able to generate revenue," in the post in question, Musk emphasized.

Musk noting that this practice aims to encourage people to correct information against sensationalism.

"It should be noted that attempts to use community notes as a tool to block people's income will be immediately understood because all code and data are open source," Musk noted.

OFFER SATELLITE CONNECTIVITY TO GAZA

Elon Musk had announced that he would offer satellite connectivity to Gaza. After Israel completely cut off landline, cell phone, and internet communication services in the blockaded Gaza Strip, hundreds of users on the X social media platform demanded that the Starlink satellite system be put into service for humanitarian aid coordination.

In response, Elon Musk announced on his social media account X that the Starlink satellite internet system company he owns will provide connection services to well-known international aid organizations in the Gaza Strip.
