Two more earthquakes with a magnitude of 6.4 and 5.8 in Türkiye
Last night, earthquakes with a magnitude of 6.4 in Defne district of Hatay and 5.8 magnitude in Samandag district were felt in the surrounding provinces and the whole Middle East. Some of the damaged buildings were demolished. Six of Turkish citizens lost their lives under the rubble. 294 people were injured in the earthquake and that 18 of them were in serious condition.
While Türkiye has been mobilizing for days to heal the wounds of the earthquake disaster, the earthquakes that occurred one after another in Hatay last night brought back the nightmare.
Two earthquakes with a magnitude of 6.4 occurred in Defne district at 20:04 and a magnitude of 5.8 in Samandağ district at 20:07.
Earthquakes were also felt in the surrounding provinces and neighboring countries.
Citizens threw themselves on the street with great fear and panic.
An earthquake survivor said that he jumped from the balcony in panic. He said that earthquake survivors staying in hotels and dormitories were experiencing great fear while they were throwing themselves out.
Some buildings damaged in the previous earthquake were demolished. Three people were rescued from the rubble of 2 destroyed buildings in Antakya. It was reported that 6 citizens lost their lives.
