2,018 immigrants were deported across Türkiye

Immigration Administration has announced its weekly irregular immigrant report. Accordingly, 2,527 irregular migrants were caught across Türkiye and 2,018 irregular migrants were deported.

According to the video post made on the social media account of the Turkish Ministry of Interior, Directorate of Migration Management, between 17 and 23 March, 1039 irregular migrants from Afghanistan, 57 from Pakistan and 1431 from other nationalities were caught across Türkiye.

A total of 2,018 irregular migrants, 598 from Afghanistan, 38 from Pakistan and 1382 from other nationalities, who were found to have entered the country illegally and were caught, were deported.

NUMBER OF IRREGULAR MIGRANT SENT SINCE THE YEAR

From New Year's to March 23, 24,287 irregular migrants were sent to their countries, 7,796 from Afghanistan, 1,406 from Pakistan and 15,085 from other nationalities.

The number of irregular immigrants who were prevented from entering the country illegally between the said dates was recorded as 6,720. The number of irregular migrants prevented from entering the country from New Year's to March 23 was 54,203.

There are 15,963 irregular migrants, 4,288 from Afghanistan, 2,022 from Pakistan and 9,673 from other nationalities, in removal centres.

In addition, the proceedings of 1231 irregular migrants are continuing within the scope of the invitation to leave.
