The French Ambassador was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the awarding of the "Order of Honor" to PKK/YPG terrorists. The French Ambassador to Ankara, who was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, emphasized that the hosting of PKK/YPG members in the Senate and their “awarding with medals” were strongly condemned.

France continues to openly maintain its support for terrorists. Members of the YPG, the PKK's affiliate in Syria, and its female branches, the YPJ, were invited to an event held in the French Senate. While many French senators and politicians attended the scandalous reception, the terrorists were applauded in the French Senate.

In the speeches, the actions of the terrorist organization were appreciated, and the message was given that support to the PKK/YPG would continue in the fight against DAESH. Going even further, the French Senate awarded the so-called medal of honor to members of the terrorist organization PKK/YPG.

The Turkish Embassy in Paris reacted to the reception. After the scandal, an initiative was launched before the French Senate and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
