Voting processes continue in abroad, for the 14 May elections, which will be held in Türkiye. Turks in Lebanon went to the polls to elect the president and deputies.

Voting process started in Lebanon for Turkish elections

Turkish voters went to the polls in Lebanon for the presidential and parliamentary elections to be held in Türkiye on 14 May.

Some 8,336 Turks who are eligible to vote can go to the polls in Lebanon until May 7.

Voting is done until May 7 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. local time will last.

Speaking to Anadolu, Türkiye’s Ambassador to Lebanon Ali Baris Ulusoy said: "We have made all our preparations so that our citizens can vote safely."

TÜRKİYE GENERAL ELECTIONS

Citizens of Türkiye will go to the polls on May 14 for the Presidential and 28th Term Parliamentary elections.

Four candidates will compete for the Presidency in the elections: President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is seeking reelection, Muharrem Ince, Kemal Kilicdaroglu, and Sinan Ogan.

In the parliamentary elections, 24 political parties and 151 independent candidates will compete for 600 seats.

Elections abroad have begun. Elections are held at different times in different countries.
