Earlier on Sunday, a truck crashed into several cars waiting in line at a gas station in Türkiye's southeastern province, Hatay. The truck and two minibuses caught fire.

According to the Mehr News Agency, those who came to the scene panicked.

According to Sputnik, a large number of firefighters have been dispatched to the area.

Turkish Minister of Health Fahretti Koca said, "12 of our citizens lost their lives in a chain collision in Hatay, 31 of them were injured, 3 of them seriously."

The identity of the truck driver and why he lost control of the vehicle have yet to be determined.
