Yurtici Kargo, one of Türkiye's leading cargo companies, broke new ground. The company, which made its first flight in Ankara last month, delivered intercontinental cargo by drone in this flight. The flight took place between the Cubuklu and Emirgan districts of Istanbul.

Yurtici Cargo, which has increased its autonomous investments since 2020, started to strengthen its investments in the field of drone transportation after the implementation of Türkiye's leading automated transfer center, smart cargo lockers, and you are in control.

INTEGRATED SYSTEM WITH FULLY AUTONOMOUS CARGO CABINETS

The cargo UAV system, used by Yurtici Cargo and produced by a local company, DeliveryOne, works integrated with its own smart cargo lockers.

In this system, the courier loads the shipment he wants to go fast to the UAV locker and selects the other locker where the flight will take place from the smart screens.

The cargo loaded in the locker is measured by the systems inside the locker and is raised to the UAV runway at the top of the locker. Flying between the lockers, the UAV comes to the locker as soon as it receives the work order, receives the cargo autonomously and delivers it to the other location within minutes.

'WE WANT TO BUILD AN AUTONOMOUS CARGO CHAIN'

Providing information about the test flight between Cubuklu and Emirgan, Yurtici Cargo Cargo Operations Deputy General Manager Fahrettin Hamzaoglu stated that autonomous investments will not be limited to this, and that they continue to work on scenarios where the whole process can be realized with autonomous vehicles.
