Voters in Türkiye went to the polls on May 14 for the 13th presidential and 28th parliamentary elections. The elections started at 08:00 am local time and ended at 05:00 pm.
More than 191,000 ballot boxes were set up in 973 districts and 1094 district election boards across Türkiye.
60 million 697,843 voters in the country cast their ballots today.
President Erdoğan said that the voting process concluded in a manner befitting democracy. "Now, as always, it is time to protect the ballot boxes. We will continue to protect the will of our nation until the results are finalized," he said.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan shared a post on his social media account. In his post, Erdogan said, "Dear friends and fellow travelers... The voting process has been completed across our country in a manner befitting our democracy. Now, as always, it is time to firmly protect the ballot boxes. Continue to protect the will of our nation until the results are finalized."

Millions of voters cast their ballots and the ballot box closed. Then the counting process will begin slowly.
YSK Chairman Ahmet Yener said after the closing of the polls that there has been no negative situation so far. Yener also announced that vote counting has begun.
