Turkish voters in Germany go to the polls for the runoff

Voters who wanted to vote for the runoff of the presidential election in Türkiye formed long queues in Cologne and Frankfurt, Germany.

Within the scope of the runoff of the presidential election to be held in Türkiye on May 28, the voting process of voters registered in the overseas voter registry started today continues. 

In Germany, which has the highest number of voters abroad, Turkish citizens started to go to the polls at the consulates as of 08:00 am local time. 

Voters can cast their ballots for the second round of the presidential runoff between President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the presidential candidate of the People's Alliance and CHP Chairman Kemal Kilicdaroglu at ballot boxes set up in 17 different locations in Germany. 

Voting is possible between 08:00 am to 10:00 pm at the consulates general in Berlin, Hamburg, Hanover, Düsseldorf, Karlsruhe, Cologne, Munich, Essen, Münster, Mainz, Nuremberg, Frankfurt and Stuttgart, and between 09:00 am to 06:00 pm in Kassel, Aachen, Bremen and Regensburg.

Voting will end tomorrow in Regensburg, Aachen and Bremen and on May 24 in other regions.
