Turkish President Erdogan cast his vote in the runoff of the presidential election in İstanbul. Erdogan said, "I request from my citizens that the participation should be realized without complacency until the last moment."

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Üsküdar, Istanbul with his wife Emine Erdogan to cast his vote in the runoff of the presidential election.

In the same school, President Erdoğan's son Bilal and his wife Reyyan Erdogan also cast their votes in the morning.

'TODAY'S VOTING WILL END VERY QUICKLY'

Erdogan made the following statements after the voting process:

"First of all, for the first time in our Turkish democratic life, we are witnessing a two-round election. The first round was held on May 14th and the runoff was held on May 28th. There are only two candidates and since our people will vote for these two candidates, today's voting will end very quickly.

"This is a case we have witnessed for the first time in the presidential election, there is no other country in the history of the world with up to 90 percent participation. We wish the best for our country and nation."
