President Erdogan speaks after the runoff of voting

Türkiye went to the polls for the second round of the presidential elections. While most of the ballot boxes were opened, according to the Supreme Election Board's inconclusive results, President Erdogan, the candidate of the People's Alliance, finished the race ahead.

While all the ballot boxes were expected to be opened, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan appeared in front of the enthusiastic crowd waiting in front of his official residence in Kisikli. President Erdogan makes a statement on the results here.

The highlights of President Erdogan's statements are as follows;

Dear colleagues, I greet you with my most heartfelt feelings and affection.

We have completed the second round of the presidential election. I would like to express my gratitude to my nation for giving us a feast of democracy between two holidays.

I would like to congratulate all members of our organization, our women and youth branches, our polling observers, and everyone who volunteered to ensure that the election was conducted in a healthy manner.

I congratulate all my brothers and sisters who devoted their hearts to the AK Party cause. I thank my campaign team. I congratulate our citizens who ran to the polls abroad with high voting rates.

This love does not end here. We have always said that Türkiye is entrusted to us and we are entrusted to Türkiye.

'ONLY TÜRKİYE IS THE WINNER'

This love does not end here. The winner of this election is all 85 million of our citizens. We said that we will win in such a way that no one will lose. So today the winner is only Türkiye.

Without compromising our democracy, our development and our goals, we have now opened the doors of the "Turkish Century" together.

I praise Allah for granting me such companions as you. Are we ready to win Uskudar and Istanbul in the local elections? Then we will work hard and never stop.
