Hafize Gaye Erkan, whose name has been in the news for a while, was appointed as the Governor of the CBRT.
"With the decision published in the Official Gazette, Sahap Kavcioglu, Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye, was appointed as the Chairman of the Banking Regulation and Supervision Board, and Hafize Gaye Erkan was appointed as the Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey. The appointments were made in accordance with Articles 2, 3 and 7 of the Presidential Decree."
