The Baltops exercise, which has been held in the Baltic Sea under NATO since 1972, started on June 4 this year. This year, 50 ships, more than 45 aircraft and 6 thousand personnel from 20 countries are participating in the large-scale naval exercise Baltops-23.
Türkiye is participating in the exercise, which aims to improve coordination between the countries participating in the conduct of land, air and naval operations in the West Sea region, with three F-16 aircraft of the Air Force and two headquarters officers from the Naval Forces.
Within the framework of the exercise, FA-15s from the US Navy, F-16s from Türkiye and Poland and Tornado fighter jets from Germany flew over the ships participating in the exercise in the Baltic Sea. NATO Air Command posted photos of the exercise on its social media account.
