President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the accompanying delegation visited Anitkabir as part of the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye.
It has been exactly 100 years since the proclamation of the Turkish Republic, which opened the doors of a new era not only in the history of the Turkish nation but also in the history of the world, and where the saying "Sovereignty unconditionally belongs to the Nation" took its place in the state administration in the most prominent form.
October 29 Republic Day and the 100th anniversary of the Republic are celebrated with events held all over the country and in representations abroad.
In this context, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan visited Anitkabir in Ankara, the capital of Türkiye, with the state officials on October 29. Erdogan and the state officials walked from the Lion Road to the resting place of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.
Erdogan laid a wreath decorated with red and white carnations on Ataturk's resting place. The dignitaries first stood in silence and then recited the National Anthem. Erdogan went to the Misak-i Milli Tower and signed the Anitkabir Special Book.
"Our Republic is more secure than ever," Erdogan emphasized.
"Dear Ataturk, we are proud to reach the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye, which you called your greatest work. During our 21 years in power, we have protected your trust. Our Republic is safer than ever," Erdogan added.
Erdogan will visit the "100 Giant Works Oil Painting Exhibition on the 100th Anniversary of the Republic" at the Presidential Complex at 12:00 p.m. and accept congratulations at the October 29 Republic Day Reception.
SOLOTURK, the Turkish Air Force's aerobatic team, will perform a demonstration flight over Anitkabir at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 29.
State Theatres will also celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Republic with the play 'One Hundred Years of Epic: Fire' play. The premiere of the play 'One Hundred Years of Epic: Fire', which tells the story of the liberation struggle of the Great Leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal Ataturk and his comrades-in-arms from May 19, 1919, until the opening of the Parliament on April 23, 1920. 'One Hundred Years of Epic: Fire' will be premiered on October 29, at 8:00 p.m.
The Presidential Symphony Orchestra, which has carried out a series of events within the scope of the 100th-anniversary activities, will give a "100th Anniversary Concert" at the 2nd Parliament building in Ankara on October 29 at 7:00 p.m. and will perform the 100th Anniversary Anthem at 20.23 (8:23 p.m.) with Türkiye local time.
The 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Türkiye will be celebrated with special events across the country. Capital Ankara and Istanbul will host spectacular programs on October 29 Republic Day.

Two important centers of the October 29 Republic Day celebrations, which are coordinated by the Presidential Communications Directorate, will be the capital Ankara, and Istanbul.

Another important point of the 100th-anniversary celebrations of the Republic will be Istanbul.
In the "Century of Türkiye from Past to Present" display area, which will be set up in front of the Ataturk Cultural Centre in Istanbul's Taksim Square, the vision of the Century of Türkiye from Past to Present will be presented with an interactive and technological experience through water curtains, water shows and screens broadcasting three-dimensional content.
In addition, special events, digital exhibitions, and three-dimensional shows will be organized in squares such as Usküdar, Taksim, Bakirkoy and historical places such as Galata Tower, Haydarpasa Train Station and Dolmabahçe Palace to mark the 100th anniversary of the Republic.
Turkish Stars will perform a demonstration flight on the Bosphorus at 4:20 p.m. and SOLOTURK at 4:40 p.m. In addition, 20 fighter jets will fly over the Bosphorus.
At 5:00 p.m., 100 warships, including Türkiye's largest warship 'TCG Anadolu', will parade in the Bosphorus.
There will also be a 101-gun salute.
President Erdogan will share his 100th-anniversary message with citizens at 19:23 (7:23 p.m.) at Türkiye local time.
Within the scope of the activities, light and fireworks shows will be held at 7:50 p.m. on the 15 July Martyrs' Bridge with 2023 drones in the Bosphorus.
