176 dead in floods in Democratic Republic of Congo

In the South Kivu province of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, there was a flood disaster due to heavy rains. Villages were flooded as a river overflowed with rising water levels. A total of 176 people lost their lives. Many people were lost in the flood waters.
