The 7.4 earthquake that occurred in Kahramanmaras, Türkiye was felt strongly in the surrounding provinces. Messages of condolence and aids came from world leaders to Türkiye. Greece announced that they would send aid to Türkiye due to the earthquake.

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced: Greece will send aid to Türkiye and Syria

Greek Prime Minister Kiryakos Mitsotakis expressed his condolences to Türkiye in a statement on his social media account. Mitsotakis made the following statement on his Twitter account:

"Deeply saddened by the devastating earthquake disaster in Türkiye and Syria. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the families of the victims and our thoughts are with all the people affected. Greece is mobilizing its resources and will assist immediately."

Greece had sent aid to Turkey, in the 1999 Marmara earthquake. Also in the 1999 Athens earthquake that occurred in Greece, Türkiye had sent aid to Greece.
