World-renowned artists Russell Crowe, Antonio Banderas, Mark Ruffalo, Dua Lipa, Mark Eliyahu, George Takei, Evgeny Grinko, Yngwie Malmsteen and Manowar posted messages of support and condolences to Türkiye on social media after the earthquake.

Support messages to Türkiye from world-famous artists

In the province of Kahramanmaras in Türkiye, many people lost their lives and thousands were injured due to two major earthquakes. Earthquakes had affected 10 provinces in Türkiye and also Syria. Türkiye called for international support in search and rescue due to the earthquake that shook the country. Supports came from all over the world.

World-renowned artists, Russell Crowe, Antonio Banderas, Mark Ruffalo, Dua Lipa, Mark Eliyahu, Yusuf Islam, George Takei, Evgeny Grinko, Yngwie Malmsteen and Manowar published messages of support and condolences to Türkiye on social media after the earthquake.

Oscar-winning actor Russell Crowe expressed his sadness with the words “Ah Turkey. My heart. Devastating news.”

Actor and director Antonio Banderas shared the map of the region where the earthquake took place in his message on his Instagram account and stated that he embraced the Turkish and Syrian people with solidarity due to the tragedy.

Russian pianist Evgeny Grinko, also expressed his feelings: "My condolences. I convey my best wishes to the injured. My heart is with you."

Israeli musician Mark Eliyahu shared the message "My heart is with you" by including the Turkish and Syrian flags on Instagram.

Actor, director and screenwriter Mark Ruffalo shared a post about the Ahbab Association founded by Turkish singer Haluk Levent, and said, "These are the folks doing search and rescue in Turkey if you want to lend a hand."

British singer Dua Lipa expressed her feelings with the words, "I'm sorry for Turkey. I send my love and prayers to those affected by the earthquake" from her Instagram account.

British musician Yusuf Islam wrote, "So sad to see another disaster fall upon the Turkish and Syrian people. Many refugees are in those areas. May God grant ease and security and receive the souls of those killed into eternal peace" on his Twitter account.

American heavy metal band 'Manowar' stated that the band members were deeply saddened by the earthquake, and shared the message: "Patience to the survivors, our condolences to those who lost their loved ones..."

George Takei, one of the actors of the TV series "Star Trek", said that the whole world should unite: "I was devastated and devastated by the destruction and loss of life of two powerful earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. The world must do whatever it can to help thousands of victims…”
