Poland, Romania and Lithuania will send aid to Türkiye due to two major earthquakes affecting 10 provinces in total.

The balance sheet of the earthquake in Kahramanmaras is increasing. According to the latest figures released by Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD), 2,824 buildings were destroyed in the earthquake.

Polish Interior Minister Mariusz Kaminski shared on his Twitter account: "We have received official approval for the acceptance of our aid to Türkiye. Firefighters will go to Türkiye today." Kaminski noted that 76 firefighters and 8 rescue dogs from Poland will be sent to Turkey.

The Romanian government also announced that it will send aid teams to Türkiye.

'WE ARE READY TO HELP'

Romanian Emergency Situations Committee announced that after consultation with Romanian President Klaus Iohannis, they will send search and rescue and medical teams to the affected areas.

Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Gabrielus Landsbergis also expressed his deep sorrow for the earthquake and said, "As Lithuania, we are ready to provide tents, blankets and medical services to support the rescue and relief operation."
