Assad visits victims in Aleppo hospital
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad visited the Aleppo University Hospital, the presidency said on Friday, his first reported trip to an earthquake-hit area. The images of al-Assad and his wife, who visited the injured from the earthquake in which thousands of people lost their lives, were reflected in the cameras.

On Monday, two earthquakes with a magnitude of 7.7 and 7.6 occurred in Kahramanmaraş, Türkiye. In the earthquake, more than 20 thousand people lost their lives in Syria and Türkiye, while more than 65 thousand were injured.
Those injured in the earthquake in Syria were taken to the Aleppo hospital. Assad went to the earthquake victims for the first time.
A total of 10 provinces of Türkiye were affected by the earthquakes. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan visited 10 provinces one by one. In addition, it was noteworthy that Assad made only one visit.
