According to the news on the Politico website, the EU Commission, which operates as the executive body of the European Union, has banned the use of the social media application TikTok for its employees due to security concerns. He had previously signed a similar decision in the USA.
In this context, all Commission employees were instructed to remove the application from their personal or corporate devices with any work-related application installed in the morning.
Other EU institutions, the Council of the European Union and the European Parliament, are expected to take similar steps in the near future.
TikTok, owned by the Chinese technology firm, causes national security concerns in some countries.
