We have nothing to do with sabotage of the Nord Stream pipeline: Ukraine

On September 26, leaks occurred in the 'North Stream 1' and 'North Stream 2' pipelines, which carry natural gas from Russia to Europe. Evaluating the incident as sabotage, the authorities argued that the Russian leader, Vladimir Putin, was behind it. Putin, on the other hand, denied the accusations made against him.

UKRAINE IS BEHIND IT: NEW YORK TIMES

The New York Times wrote today that the sabotage may have been orchestrated by a pro-Ukrainian group, according to intelligence reviewed by US officials.

5 MEN AND 1 WOMAN ORGANIZED SABOTATION: GERMAN PRESS

In the news of the public broadcaster ARD and Zeit newspaper in Germany, he noted that the authorities conducting the investigation uncovered evidence showing that a pro-Ukrainian group organized sabotage. In the news, it was claimed that the group consisting of 5 men and 1 woman went to the city of Rostock in the north of Germany in September 2022 and chartered a yacht with fake passports and sabotaged the Nord Stream pipelines. It was reported that one of the people on the boat was the captain, one was a doctor, two were divers, and the other two were assistant divers. It was noted that a truck had previously delivered the group's equipment to the port, and the boat was brought back in a dirty state. It was stated that within the scope of the investigation initiated by the German Federal Prosecutor's Office, the boat was searched and traces of explosives were found.

SHIP INSPECTED

In the statement made by the German Federal Prosecutor's Office, "The evaluation of the materials seized on the ship is continuing. There is no reliable evidence yet whether a state controlled the attack plans. There is no reason to suspect the employees of the German company that chartered the ship."

WE ARE NOT INTERESTED: UKRAINE

After these experiences, a reply came from Ukraine. Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov stated that the sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipeline in September 2022 had nothing to do with them. "For me, this is a strange story that has nothing to do with us. I think the official investigation will reveal all the details. It's like a compliment to our intelligence, but these are not our actions," Reznikov said.
