Due to the earthquakes in Kahramanmaras, the second ship carrying 8,200 winter tents from Pakistan to Türkiye set off. The ships will reach Mersin Port on 23-24 March.

8,200 winter tents from Pakistan to Türkiye

According to the statement made by the Pakistan National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA), the civilian cargo ship carrying 1221 tons of relief materials loaded in 65 containers to be delivered to Türkiye and Syria has left Karachi.

41 containers containing 8,200 winter tents will be delivered to Türkiye, and 15,000 food parcels in 24 containers will be delivered to Syria. The civilian cargo ship is expected to reach Mersin Port on 23-24 March. NDMA will soon launch charter cargo flights to carry aid to earthquake victims in Türkiye.

FIRST SHIP LEAVE ON 28 FEBRUARY

The first ship of the Pakistan Navy, carrying 1000 tons of aid for the disaster victims in Türkiye, set off from Karachi on February 28. Pakistan had sent 7 thousand winter tents and more than 33 thousand blankets to Türkiye by land and air.

In addition, Al Khidmat Foundation, Edhi Foundation, Beytus Salam Welfare Foundation, Sailani Welfare Foundation and Pakistan Red Crescent also carry out various aid activities in Türkiye.
