The US Geological Survey (USGS) reported that a 6.7 magnitude earthquake occurred at 12:12 a.m. local time, 6 kilometers northeast of Balao, Ecuador. Authorities declared that there was no danger of tsunami after the earthquake. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 65.7 kilometers.

NO TSUNAMI DANGER
