The Israeli army counterattacked on Sunday, claiming it fired rockets into Syria's Golan Heights.
"We are bombing Syria now in retribution," the military said in retaliation.
Three rockets were launched at Natur and Avnei Eitan in southern Golan Heights, according to Israeli public broadcaster, KAN.
Reports said two missiles landed in an open region and a third was destroyed by the Iron Dome missile defense system.
An Israeli army statement said one missile landed in uninhabited land to the south of the Golan Heights.
The army, which claims that rockets are fired from Syria at regular intervals at regions under its control, is striking Syrian army locations with jets.
The Israeli army had announced that 3 rockets were launched from Syria to the Golan Heights, and one of the rockets fell on the empty land in the south of the Golan Heights.
