A passenger train crashed into a car trying to cross a level crossing while the barriers were closed near the city of Hannover in northern Germany.

In the incident that occurred around 04:50 am local time, 3 people in their 20s died in the vehicle.

In the statement made by the police, it was noted that 42 passengers on the train were not injured, and one personnel was slightly injured.

RAILWAY CLOSED TO TRAFFIC 

After the accident, many train services were delayed and canceled due to the temporary closure of the railway between Hannover and Nienburg.
