In South Korea, the door of an Asiana Airlines plane with 194 passengers opened before landing at Daegu International Airport. The plane landed on the runway with the door open and 9 passengers who had difficulty breathing were hospitalized.

According to Yonhap, the door of the plane, which took off from Jeju Island in South Koreawith 194 passengers, opened for an unknown reason during landing. In a statement made by Daegu International Airport officials, it was stated that the incident occurred while the plane was landing and the plane landed safely at the airport.

PASSENGERS WERE TRANSFERRED TO HOSPITAL

No one was injured in the incident, the statement said, adding that some passengers were transferred to hospitals with panic and shortness of breath. Asiana Airlines officials said the door of the plane may have been opened because one of the passengers sitting near the exit touched the door handle.

Police detained a male passenger in his 30s for questioning on suspicion of trying to force the door open as the plane was preparing to land.
