The man who opened the door of the plane explained the reason as being 'uncomfortable'

Minutes before the plane landed on Friday, a man opened the passenger door, causing panic. After the incident, the passenger said he opened the door because he was "uncomfortable".

A passenger on an Asiana Airlines flight on Friday who opened the plane door minutes before landing in South Korea said he was "uncomfortable", Yonhap News Agency reported.

Yonhapi said the passenger, in his thirties, opened the door because he "wanted to get off the plane quickly" and was stressed because he had recently lost his job.

HE OPENED THE PASSENGER DOOR OF THE PLANE

The man, himself a passenger, caused panic by opening the door at an altitude of about 700 feet (213 m) as the plane was landing, Asia One reported.

Nine passengers were sent to the hospital with breathing issues. All were dismissed from the hospital after about two hours, a fire department official said.

Police plan to arrest the detained man after investigations conclude, Yonhap said.
