Poison traffickers carrying drugs from Syria to Jordan by drone failed to achieve their goal thanks to the Jordanian army's vigilance.
According to Anadolu, Jordan's official PETRA news agency, citing military sources, said that border guards and security and military units in the region detected an attempt to transfer drugs from Syrian territory to Jordan via drone.
The drone was shot down in Jordanian territory and 500 grams of narcotics were seized.
Jordan has been the scene of frequent smuggling attempts, especially as a result of the deteriorating security situation in neighboring Syria and Iraq.
