A violent explosion occurred at a chemical plant in China's Jiangxi province. Thick smoke rose from the plant.

A violent explosion occurred at a chemical plant owned by Qiantai New Material in Guixi city of Jiangxi province in the southeastern part of China around 10:30 AM local time.

Fire and police teams were dispatched to the area. In the images shared on social media, it was seen that dense smoke covered the sky. It is reported that no one has been killed or injured so far and work is ongoing at the plant.

The cause of the explosion is not yet known.
