Saudi Arabia to issue electronic visas for 12 countries, including Türkiye

Saudi Arabia will switch to electronic visa application for 12 countries. Türkiye is also among the 12 countries within the framework of the decision taken. It was also stated that the new visa fees were set at the beginning of July.

In a statement made by the Saudi Arabian civil aviation authority, it was stated that work, visit and residence visas will be issued printed on A4 paper with QR codes. In the statement, it was stated that Türkiye, Pakistan, Yemen, Sudan, Uganda, Lebanon, Nepal, Kenya, Morocco, Thailand, Vietnam and Sri Lanka have switched to electronic visa application for the visas in question at their representative offices and consulates.

It was noted that the implementation date of the decision varies according to the countries, and the implementation for Türkiye will start on August 16.

VISA FEES CHANGED

On the other hand, new visa fees were set at the beginning of July. With the Presidential Decree published in the Official Gazette, visa fees were increased. According to the decision dated July 7, 2023; visa, passport, notary and IMEI fees were increased by 50 percent. As it is known, visa applications are made through agencies or from the Consulate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
