The administration of US President Joe Biden was a disappointment for Palestine, the US did not keep its promises to Palestine; That's why Palestine turned toward to China, Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al Maliki says.

Al Maliki, in his speech on Thursday, evaluated the relations between Palestine and the USA.

“Three years have passed since President Biden's promises, but we have seen nothing but financial support for the United Nations Relief for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) and hospitals in East Jerusalem,” the Palestinian minister said.

Last month, Foreign Minister Maliki expressed "the pessimism of his country" regarding the US administration's position against the violations committed by Israel, including the attacks on the city of Jenin in the northern West Bank last month, adding that "the Biden administration has been disappointing for them".

He noted that Palestine is “increasingly turning toward to China, which supports its full membership in the United Nations (UN)” for support.

China is not only economically but also politically in the Middle East. It wants to increase its presence. Many countries in the world also want the support of China, which has become a very important global player,” he stressed.

Finally, Maliki pointed out the role of the USA in the peace process between Palestine and Israel and said, “There is no peace process in the Middle East. If that happens in the future, why not include China alongside other countries?”
