A fire broke out in grain silos in the French port of La Rochelle on Thursday. The fire, which was brought under control, did not reach the stored grain.
Local authorities said a large fire broke out in four grain silos in La Rochelle and 70 firefighters were dispatched to the area. Reinforcements have been dispatched to the area.
France is the European Union's biggest grain producer and La Rochelle on France's Atlantic coast one of the country's largest grain export terminals.
