The case of 5 Palestinian women forced to strip naked by Israeli soldiers in the West Bank will be investigated, United Nations (UN) deputy spokesperson Farhan Haq said at a press conference.

"The UN opposes all forms of collective punishment. This incident needs to be scrutinized and thoroughly investigated," Haq said.

According to Haaretz newspaper, during a raid organized by Israeli forces on a house in Hebron, 2 Israeli female soldiers forced 5 Palestinian women to undress completely in the presence of trained dogs. The female soldiers threatened to attack the Palestinian women with dogs if they did not do what they were asked.
