Turkish organization The Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) announced that an earthquake of magnitude 4.0 occurred in the Marand city of East Azerbaijan Province of Iran.
The earthquake, which occurred at 09.05, was reported to be 7 km deep. While there were no deaths or injuries in the earthquake, those living in the region panicked.
The earthquake took place 77.15 km away from the Baskale district of Van province in Türkiye.
