Lavrov arrives to Geneva for Iran nuclear talks
A possible deal will be valid for six months and will serve as the pre-text of a broader agreement with Iran on its nuclear program
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Friday has arrived to Geneva to join the third round talks on Iran’s nuclear program. Iran's Foreign Minister Mohamed Jevad Zarif represents Iran in Geneva in the negotiations started on Wednesday, while Catherine Ashton, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy for the European Union is the representative of the EU. The deal on the table offers Iran a lighter level of sanctions in return of Iran halting its nuclear program and reversing it in some cases. Meanwhile, officials from P5 + 1 accept Iran’s right to enrich uranium in its own soil. A possible deal will be valid for six months and will serve as the pre-text of a broader agreement with Iran on its nuclear program.
