Five policemen injured in Sirnak attack
The injured policemen have been admitted to the Idil State hospital
At least five policemen were injured in a roadside bomb attack on a police vehicle in Turkeys southeastern province Sirnak on Monday, official security sources said.
According to official sources, members of Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) detonated a bomb planted on the Idil-Cizre Highway when an armored police car passed by.
The injured policemen were admitted to the Idil State hospital.
Operations against the PKK listed as a terrorist group by Turkey, the EU and U.S. came after it renewed attacks on Turkish security forces following the July 20 Suruc bombing that killed dozens of people.
