211 PKK terrorist killed since March in Nusaybin
More than 200 PKK terrorists have been killed in Turkey's southeastern Nusaybin district of Mardin province since a counter-terrorism operation was launched on March 14.
In a statement on Tuesday, the Nusaybin Governorate said 211 PKK terrorists had been killed and three others taken alive while 156 barricades were removed and 482 weapons seized in the district.
A total of 38 security forces, "who fought heroically", were also martyred, the statement added.
The statement also said 760 people had been evacuated and relocated to safer zones.
The PKK – also listed as a terrorist organization by the U.S. and the EU – resumed its 30-year armed campaign against the Turkish state in July 2015.
Since then, over 350 members of the security forces have been martyred and thousands of PKK terrorists killed in operations across Turkey and northern İraq.
