Syrian state media reported that 53 people were killed by ISIS in the attack that took place in Homs on Friday. Rami Abdurrahman, head of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, said that the current number has increased to 68.

An activist group said in a statement on Saturday that the number of people who died in the attack on Friday while the people were collecting mushrooms in Homs, Syria rose to 68.

Rami Abdurrahman, head of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, said, "A total of 61 civilians and 7 soldiers died in the attack."

The observer stated that ISIS chose between February and April to launch the attack. He explained that this was because of the people's season of collecting desert ground mnatar.

The observer said that the number of individuals killed by ISIS had increased to 90 as of February 10.

THE ATTACK WAS TAKEN ON FRIDAY

Syrian state media reported that the town in the desert east of Homs was attacked on Friday, killing 53 people. State media blamed ISIS for the attack.
